About us

Hi, we are Geoff and Jane. We came to Sanday from the Isle of Man, (with our 2 dogs and 4 cats) to fulfill our dream, of running our own Sanday B and B, providing welcoming holidays for the traveller who wants to feel they are home from home.

Having travelled extensively ourselves we realise how important a factor your location and accommodation is to making your holiday special.

I (Geoff) am a fully qualified chef, having worked in catering for over 34 years. I’m passionate about using fresh Sanday and Orkney ingredients and constantly experimenting with new flavours to create mouth-watering dishes.

Jane is the admin/front-of-house side of the partnership and, having enjoyed helping customers all her working life, is keen to ensure all your needs are met.

The farmhouse is two minutes walk from the stunning sandy bay of Backaskaill, views of which can be seen from the residents lounge and other parts of the house.
